I forgot, you're a purist,Tigger.
All I can say is that after spending the obligatory 6 hours over lunch, (which I cooked), my French neighbours awarded me "deux etoiles", and I do use funny combinations in my cooking.

I'm sure that you're an excellent cook, Elle. It's just that the La Vache Qui Rit and Dairylea are processed cheeses and, therefore, one wouldn't usually use them for cooking. However, if you have a good recipe, or two, please do share.

All my recipes for cheesecake use mascarpone, and they really are delicious. You're right, Tigger, cheesecake made with Dairylea? It's a no-no.
You can probably get mascarpone in France, though I haven't actually looked. I only live part-time in France.
