Can anyone advise where to buy off-shelf or have manufacturered some timber windows in the usual french syle? Have tried all the local DIY places

Hi Norman, why dont you try Brico Depot.They have huge range of descent quality windows in stock at very cheap prices

Or there's another shop called LePeyre, (think I've got it right). They tend to be in the larger towns. I know there's one in Nevers and one in Dijon. They're good quality, and a bit more expensive than Brico Depot.

I've used both Brico and LaPeyre and would agree with the last comment. Very happy with the Brico ones though.
