Monday 23 March 2009Spring ForwardThis weekend past saw the traditional start of spring in the Northern Hemisphere. This means that the clocks are about to go forward and the evenings will be getting a lot lighter! That's right - it's this weekend that summer time begins across Europe! warmer weather on the way?European Daylight Savings Time comes into effect at the same time each year on the last Sunday in March - that's this Sunday, 29 March at 03:00. It may be useful to know that the changeover date is different elsewhere in the world; for instance, the US and Canada change over earlier as an energy-saving measure. So set your clocks, watches, mobile telephones and satellite receivers forward by one hour on Sunday morning. For all the dates worldwide, see the INFOrmation Page on Daylight Savings Time. And now find out if spring weather is on the way... The AngloINFO Weather page gives you the forecast at locations across the country. You can also personalise the weather page to suit you: set a particular place as your default weather location and it will appear automatically each time you load up the page (it'll also be the location for the weather report you get on the site's front page). If you want to see the weather that's on the way, click here for a satellite image. Now Happening
